When I make personal readings using the technique of Mindful divination, I analyze my cards and oracles in order to get a message highlighting a specific theme on which I can meditate. For the following guidance I used the Lenormand deck, to help you visualize how I work; I invite you to read the analysis of each card and combination to help you in your own practice.
The theme that emerges today deals with on the relationship between the essential nature of an individual and his integration into the different social and natural ecosystems of our planet. If you wish, you can enlarge the image to observe the illustrations and do your own analysis; you can also make your own reading using the theme of the day as inspiration.
THE DECK
When I use the Lenormand deck in a reading, I use between 5 to 18 cards. For this one, I used Miss. Lenormand Cartomancy Deck created by Piatnik, and I selected 9 cards, which I will analyze line by line and column by column, to make the message of the cards and combination of cards very clear. I will start by analyzing each card individually based on the illustrations and my intuition, in order to create a basis on which I will rely to synthesize the message.
ANALYSIS OF THE LIGNES
- The first line is made up of the cards n°13, 25 and 14.
-The first card bears the number 13, and represents a child, I associate this card with youth, play, innocence and lightness.
-The second card n°25, represents a ring, I do not dwell on the numbers in this analysis, but you can take it into account if you wish in your own readings. The ring represents associations in the broad sense, both romantic, family, professional or friendly. It is the card of relationship with others and oneself.
-The third card n°14, represents a fox, often perceived as a negative one, I like to think of the fox as a playful energy, creative intelligence, that allows us to think outside the box in an innovative way. Here, it can also represent a state of voluntary isolation, calculated risk-taking or return to our animalistic nature.
"Today, I find lightness in my relationships, because I’m no longer afraid of being alone or being me. By stepping away from the need to prove my worth, I fin my sense of playfulness again and the confidence I need to accept myself as I am."
- The second line includes cards n°36, 15 and 2.
-The first card n°36, represents a cross and, in this specific game, a cross can be seen as a connection with the Catholic religion. This card thus represents established rules, religious beliefs, faith and the relationship between the divine and matter.
-The second card n°15, represents a bear, I like to see this one as our inner strenght, the uncontrollable energy that pushes us out of the established rules to intuitively follow the influx of our animal nature.
-The third card n°2, represents a clover, often associated with luck and opportunities, I like to analyze clover as a young sprout that is taking root, the ability to create our own luck and to embrace our responsibilities voluntarily.
"Here, I let go of established rules to follow my instinct, in order to create my own chance, off the beaten track."
- The third line contains the cards n°9, 21 and 7.
-The first card n°9 represents a bouquet of flowers, which is, most of the time, analyzed as an offer, a gift, something beautiful, grace or even the blossoming of something.
-The second card n°21 represents a mountain, it often illustrates something big, a solid anchor, slowness, heaviness, a foreign land, borders and can be analyzed as the card of positive or negative personal boundaries.
-The third card n°7 represents a snake, which I like to analyse as transformation, often perceived as a card of conflicts or confrontations, I personnaly like to see the snake as a wise being that help us shed the past. In certain combination it can also refer to the serpent in the Garden of Eden.
"I graciously open myself to my true nature by honouring my fears and considering them as tools of protection and affirmation of my true nature."
See how the story slowly takes shape:
By accepting my nature and appreciating my own presence of self, I discover that I no longer need to run after the approval of others to enjoy my life. In this way, I regain a selse of playfulness and the confidence to act with honesty and sincerity in my life, following my instinct rather than working against it. I then discover that my fears are valid and that they help me protect my identity, by expressing my needs with honesty.
ANALYSIS OF THE COLUMNS
If you have the information you need in your reading, you can stop your analysis with the previous step; however, if you want to go further, you can also analyze each column to provide further insight.
-
The first column consists of the cards n°13, 36 and 9.
You can rely on the previous analyses and immediately proceed to the synthesis. As part of this article I will recall the analyses of each card, previously presented.
-The first card bears the number 13, and represents a child, I associate this card with youth, play, innocence and lightness.
-The second card n°36, represents a cross and in this specific game, a cross has a connection with the Catholic religion. This cards thus represents established rules, religious beliefs, faith and the relationship between the divine and matter.
-The third card n°9 represents a bouquet, which is most of the time analyzed as an offer, a gift, something beautiful, grace or even the blossoming of something.
"I know how to play innocently with the rules established to find grace and beauty in my life."
- The second column consists of the cards n°25, 15 and 2.
-The first card n°25, represents a ring. The ring represents associations in the broad sense, tends to the romantic, family level as professional or friendly. It is the card of the relationship to others and oneself.
-The second card n°15, represents a bear, inner strength, the anima, the uncontrollable energy that pushes us out of the established rules to intuitively follow the rules of our animalistic nature.
-The third card n°21 represents a mountain, it represents something big, a solid anchor, slowness, heaviness, foreigner, borders and can be analyzed as the card of positive or negative personal boundaries.
"When I reconnect with my wild side, it allows me to firmly anchor my truth in my life."
- Finally, the third column consists of cards n°14, 2 and 7.
-The first card n°14, represents a fox, often perceived negatively, I like to think of the fox as a card of creative intelligence, which allows us to think outside the box in an innovative way. Here, it can also represent a state of voluntary isolation, calculated risk-taking or return to our animalistic nature.
-The second card n°2, represents a clover, often associated with luck and opportunity, I like to analyze clover as a young sprout that takes root, our ability to create our own luck and to take our responsibility voluntarily.

"Here I am able to create the opportunity I need to assert and enforce my personal boundaries."
SYNTHESIS
Now that the reading is done, you can synthesize your various analyses by condensing the message to a simpler form, to make it resonate with your feelings. Here is the summary with which I end this draw:
By accepting my true nature and enjoying my life, I discover that I no longer need the approval of others to act with integrity, following my instinct with confidence. My fears are valid and help me protect my identity by expressing my needs honestly.
By adjusting the established rules to my needs, I am able to create a life that resembles my truth, where the grace of my innocence mingles with the force of my wild nature. In this creative and lively space, I know I can create the opportunities I need to assert my identity and defend my limits with flexibility.
UNDERSTANDING THE COMBINATIONS
When you practice divination, you can not only analyze the symbols of the cards but also what they inspire you; the snake for example, in the Lenormand deck is considered a negative card of conflict and confrontation.
Today, this snake inspired me to affirm my personal limits and my animalistic nature, the image that came to me during the reading is that of a fish that is told to cross the desert to have the right to dive in the water, the fish knows that it will die before reaching its goal and that other solutions are possible if they are able to assert their needs and take care of themselves, without being influenced by others!
This is where the snake takes on a more positive note, that of self-affirmation and the wisdom of listening to one’s profound needs, even if it does not align with the rules or expectations of others! A beautiful meditation on the importance of listening and respect our feelings in the face of adversity.
